Types of Friction
$$\text{Static Friction} > \text{Sliding Friction} > \text{Rolling Friction}$$
- Rolling friction is lowest, which is why ball bearings are fitted between axles and wheels.
- Fluid Friction (Drag): Friction exerted by liquids and gases, minimized by giving streamlined shapes to aeroplanes and fish.
